With Child Safe – an additional feature of your Web Safe service – you can help ensure your kids stay safe when browsing online

How to use Child Safe

No one wants their kids viewing things they shouldn’t online, but in reality it’s easy for them to unintentionally stumble upon harmful material when they’re surfing the web. So why not let Child Safe help minimise the danger – and give you peace of mind in the process?

Child Safe is an additional feature of your Web Safe service, which helps to protect any device connected to your Virgin Media home broadband network at no extra cost. Not heard about Web Safe and how it works to keep you secure? You can learn more about it here.

When you activate Child Safe through your My Virgin Media account, websites containing pornography, violence, crime, hate, drugs, hacking, suicide and self-harm, and address hiding will be blocked.

What’s more, you can customise Child Safe’s settings even further; blocking out additional categories such as social media, gambling and weapons. You can even block specific websites you think could show harmful content.
