Essential broadband

With Virgin Media Essential broadband packages, you can get online and stay connected from £12.50 a month with our low-cost broadband.

What is Essential Broadband?

Our Essential broadband packages help anyone on a low income get online for a low monthly price with M15 or M50 Fibre Broadband. And for those on our M50 package, you can add our flexible TV option, Flex, on a rolling 30-day contract for a one-off setup fee of £20.

If you want to subscribe to an Essential broadband package, you will need to provide your full name, postcode and date of birth, and confirm your consent to Virgin Media using these details to perform an eligibility check.

Am I eligible?

If you are a Virgin Media account holder receiving one of the following: Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance†, Income-based Employment Support Allowance†, you are eligible for Essential broadband packages. This applies to new and existing customers.

Start a live chat with us where you’ll be asked to provide some details such as your full name, postcode and date of birth. This enables us to go ahead with the eligibility check.

2. A quick check

You’ll also be asked for your consent for Virgin Media to confirm your eligibility status based on data obtained from the Department for Work and Pensions.

3. Set up & go
