There are lots of reasons to download our free Virgin Media Connect app (you can read about all of them here), but for us, the app’s broadband speed test comes top of the list. Powered by SamKnows, it’s a super-intelligent WiFi home scan that checks both the WiFi speed you’re getting to your device and the line speed you’re getting to your Hub.

 

In other words, it’s a clever way to detect if there are any issues and to assess your broadband’s speed performance throughout your home. Want to give it a try? Here’s how…

 

1. Download the Virgin Media Connect app and login using your usual Virgin Media broadband credentials

2. Connect to your Hub

3. Tap Start the scan. The app will take you through the rest

 

The app will guide you, room by room, to check on WiFi performance. If your broadband speed is falling behind the app will alert you to any network problems, or suggest ways to improve your speed and connection such as a WiFi Pod.
