Independent testing company Global Wireless Solutions (GWS) tested all the UK’s leading broadband services (and we’re talking real-world tests, not just in a lab somewhere) and awarded us the Best Broadband Experience.

 

The GWS data found that in most households, the majority of household members are using WiFi simultaneously for five hours a day. Despite that pressure on the network, the “mean download throughputs” – basically the average download speed – on Virgin Media was 170Mbps, which is more than twice as fast as the next best provider at over 75Mbps.

 

That adds up to a fast and reliable broadband experience for Virgin Media customers.

 


Not only that, but when GWS analysed the performance of partner network bundles across broadband and mobile service, it found Virgin Media O2 had the Best Combined Connectivity Experience. We offered the fastest average available download throughput at over 150Mbps – again, well over double the average of its closest rival at 65Mbps.
