Before series 2 of This Time With Alan Partridge airs on BBC One, see if you can complete some of the broadcaster’s best one-liners…
By Virgin TV Edit
It looks like someone’s got themselves a second series. Yes, the undisputed king of chat is back on the box and ready to give you a ruddy good time with the glorious return of This Time With Alan Partridge.
The last time we caught up with Alan he was drafted in to present BBC magazine show This Time alongside bubbly co-host Jennie Gresham (Susannah Fielding). With the mismatched pair often butting heads rather than bouncing off each other, they tackled a range of fascinating subjects (Cybercrime! Corporal punishment! Hand washing!) to keep the nation informed and entertained.
Now he’s got the job permanently. But with a high-pressure gig on primetime telly making Alan more anxious than ever, it’s yet to be seen whether this latest chapter in the Partridge saga will be a triumph or a disaster…
Still, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have the veteran broadcaster (played by Steve Coogan) back on our screens for a brand new series. This, after all, is a man who has been making us laugh for 30 – yes, 30 – years.
And with so much experience under his expensive leather belt, Alan Partridge has given us some of comedy’s greatest quotes down the years. The question is, how well do you know them? Test your knowledge by filling in the missing words below…
