The Kardashians as you’ve never seen them before

The Kardashians as you’ve never seen them before

They say that loose lips sink ships. And Caitlyn Jenner is getting talky about the Kardashian-Jenner fleet in Sky Documentaries’ explosive series House Of Kardashian

By Charlotte Briggs, Staff Writer

Thought you knew everything about the Kardashian-Jenners? Think again. They might be the most famous reality show family in the world, having shared their lives on TV for over 15 years.

And whether you love them or loathe them, there’s no denying that the family’s powerful influence on society has travelled far beyond the screen. From business empires to a collective Instagram following of more than 1.2 billion (and counting!), there’s nothing that these women can’t do without capturing the world’s attention.

But Sky Original’s brand new docuseries shows that there’s still plenty to learn about this turbulent household. House Of Kardashian explores the unfiltered truth behind this family’s meteoric rise to fame, as well as the international impact they’ve had on pop culture and beyond, from those closest to them – including former Kardashian clan member Caitlyn Jenner. Check out the bombshell trailer below.

Let’s recap. Although the Kardashians have ran in celebrity circles for decades – the late Robert Kardashian was part of disgraced sports star OJ Simpson’s legal “dream team” while his daughter Kim was once Paris Hilton’s employee – the family skyrocketed to global fame following the debut of the multi-award-winning series Keeping Up With The Kardashians (watch seasons 1-20 via Apps & Games > Prime Video now).

The reality show captured the luxurious lifestyles of matriarch mogul Kris Jenner along with her children Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, plus her now former partner Caitlyn Jenner and their two children Kendall and Kylie Jenner. So successful was the series that it paved the way for billion-dollar brand deals, high-profile marriages (and divorces!) and multiple spin-offs (including the broods’ latest venture The Kardashians with seasons 1-4 available now in Apps & Games > Disney+).

But over the years, the family have been no stranger to scandals. From perpetuating “impossible” beauty standards to facing accusations of cultural appropriation and odd social stunts (that Pepsi ad, anyone?), it’s no surprise that many people believe their fame and fortune has come at a cost to influential young audiences.

Despite the ongoing criticism of the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty, one thing’s for certain – there’s never a shortage of drama from them both on and off the screen.
